INVITING THE BEST BENCHERS IN THE WORLD TO SEE WHO IS THE TRUE KING OF BENCHING

Date: July 20th, 2024

Lifting Begins: Saturday @ 11am (mandatory lifters meeting at 10:00am)

Venue: 814 barbell - 10883 route 322 Shippenville, Pennsylvania

Eligibility: Each competitor must have a valid IPA Membership https://ipapower.com/join/

Lifts and Sequence:

1. Single Ply (Single layer of polyester material shirt)

2. Multiply (As many layers of polyester material shirt as desired)

3. Unlimited (As many layers of band material shirt as desired)

Rules: Lifters have 2 attempts in each category: single ply, multiply, and unlimited. Lifters are not required to take 2 attempts, any attempt not taken will be counted as a 0. The heaviest successful attempt in each category will be added into a total for the Best Bencher

Minimum weight increases between successful attempts In IPA sanctioned competitions, the weight of the barbell must always be a multiple of 5 lbs. (2.5 kg). Exception to this Rule: IPA records can be broken by a minimum of 2.5 lbs. in excess of the current record. All-Time Records can be broken by a minimum of 1.1 lbs.

Records: Lifts in each category will be recorded on openpowerlifting.org

Weight Classes: 148, 165, 220, 242, 275, 308, 308+

Light Weight 148-220, Middle Weight 242-275, Heavy Weight 308+

Weigh-ins: Friday, July 19th, 10am – 12pm or by appointment at venue

Bring to weigh-ins: IPA Membership, Identification, Shoes

Be prepared to get your rack height, face savers, and foot blocks if needed.

Provided to our lifters: water, separate bathrooms, bands, all gym equipment, foot blocks, boards, bench bands, and blocked off warm up area. If you need anything else beforehand please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Uniforms: Must meet IPA Specifications. A one piece lifting suit must be worn.

Equipment: F8 MAGNUM Bench Bar & Elitefts Bench

Awards:

$10,000 will be given to the Best Lifter (overall by co-efficient)

Trophies & $500 Gift Card for first place Light Weight, Middle Weight, Heavy Weight

$1,000 for every OPEN ATWR broken in any F8 shirt ($1000 per person).
